World Heritage Sites Still Under Attack from ISIS

Using bulldozers and explosives members of the Islamic terrorist group known as ISIS destroyed a World Heritage site known as Hatra, in Iraq, which is ancient Babylon. This attack is the third such attack within one week. The first to be destroyed were ancient artifacts in Mosul, which were shattered using sledgehammers and machines; followed by a violent attack on the ancient city of Nimrod.

Hatra is famous for its pillared temple, and is at least 2000 years old. Officials in Iraq blame the world community for the continuing destruction, saying that the lack of response from the international community emboldens the forces of evil.
